With the COVID-19 pandemic growing at an alarming rate it’s a crucial occasion. We don’t have enough knowledge about the disease to be able to offer comfort, and many people have died.
This is what you should eat not this! The team of Eat This, Not That! joined online to share some of the recipes we’d developed during the recepti cokoladna torta quarantine to support each other navigate through this challenging time.
We would be delighted to show you how to make our designs.
1. Dark Chocolate Chip Banana Nut Bread
“I made my mom’s recipe. However, I added dark chocolate morsels. Chocolate can make everything taste better. Bake it at 350 degrees F for 50 minutes. The surface will become slightly crisper, but the inside will stay soft and soft. Inside, the chocolate is delicious. Because there’s nothing better than an ounce of each, I tend to be heavily consuming walnuts and chocolate. This bread is a real flavor of comfort.
2. Shakshuka
“I was walking around on Sunday when I saw my go-to store for hummus open the market to sell their products. They also sold fresh pita bread. This made me hungry for shakshuka. It was possible to make the ETNT version of Shakshuka , or the Italian eggs-in-purgatory version, but I chose to make my own using what I found in my fridge as well as pantry.
Sauteed onions, peppers and garlic, then added tomatoes roasted over fire, and finally, four eggs. Breakfast is finished off with the feta cheese and chopped parsley. I stored my pita breads in the freezer and then toast each one according to the need.
3. Philly Cheesesteaks
My mom cooked Philly Cheesesteaks, with onions and bell peppers. Mama served the potato dish alongside a dish of baked potatoes, seasoned with salt, garlic, fresh rosemary, and salt. I love to dip them into Trader Joe’s organic mustard. I also added mayonnaise and additional cheese in my cheesesteaks to increase the flavor. To make it more lively, I put strawberries on my plate. The side note is that a toasted bun is 100 percent the best choice.
4. Lentil Soup
While working from home, I’ve enjoyed lentil soup for lunch. It is easy to make from scratch using all the ingredients from your pantry in your pantry or you can buy it already made and then freeze it for later use. I’m a huge Ina Garten fan. We share the same town. She’s started posting simple recipes on Instagram since last week. Her Stewed Tomatoes & Lentils recipe is the inspiration behind my recipe.
5. Toast + Grits + Egg
My husband and myself have different work schedules. He is often asleep at night when he comes home, whereas I’m awake when start my day at work. When I am working at home, we are able to meet for brunch in the mornings before he heads off to work. We will have bacon, eggs, fruit toast, and occasionally grits. It’s not extravagant, but it’s a chance to be together in a positive setting.
